Dr. Dick IRRI, is an astute professional and an experienced tax administrator. He is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (FCNA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI). He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and M.Sc. in Public Sector Accounting from Nasarawa State University, Keffi. Dr. Irri also attained his MBA in Financial Management from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, B.A. in Accounting & Finance from the University of Derby, United Kingdom and a certificate in  “Leading in the Digital Era” from the Harvard Business School Boston, United States.

Dr. Irri has over three decades of professional experience in the financial sector covering banking, audit, insurance, and tax administration. He is currently the Coordinating Director, Compliance Support Group (CD–CSG), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), supervising five (5) departments, namely; Tax Policy and Advisory Department, Tax Audit Department, Special Tax Audit Department, Policy and Programme Monitoring Department and Taxpayers Service Department. He had earlier served as Director/Head, Technical Department, State Coordinator, Tax Controller and Special Assistant (SA) to erstwhile Executive Chairman Federal Inland Revenue Service (ECFIRS). He is a recipient of the ECFIRS award, among other awards. As SA to the then ECFIRS, his immense contribution to the design and implementation of the FIRS reforms in 2004 resulted in the enactment of the FIRS Establishment Act, 2007 and amendments to a number of tax laws in Nigeria.

 Before joining FIRS, he worked as Assistant Manager, Treasury Operations in the defunct Allied Bank of Nigeria Plc as well as Audit Senior and Supervisor at D. O. Dafinone & Co. (Chartered Accountants) now known as Crowe Dafinone. In all these years, he has built a track record of leading different initiatives and developing innovative solutions to achieve laudable results and serve as an advocate for building the next generation of leaders.

 Dr. Irri has taken part in many foreign and local management/leadership trainings which include Tax Administration, Investigation, Business and Investment, Managing Diversity in Workplace, Executive Leadership Development, Change Communication, Management Potential and Managing People for Strategic Advantage. He is happily married to Pastor (Mrs) Omoefe Irri and they are blessed with five children.
