Steps in Making Payment

  • The Taxpayer must register with FIRS tax office nearest to him or her.
  • The Taxpayer must have a unique and valid Tax Identification Number (TIN) issued by FIRS Integrated Tax Office.
  • The Taxpayer having been assessed (either by Government or self assessment depending on the tax type) goes to a designated bank.
  • When the Taxpayer gets to the bank, he or she fills the paying-in slip.The Taxpayer should remember to fill in his or her correct TIN in the paying-in slip including the name, the amount, the assessment period, tax type, etc. The Taxpayer should ensure that he or she is captured in the ITO under which he or she is suppose to be before making the payment i.e Customer Search.
  •   At this point, the Taxpayer finally makes his or her payments and the amount so paid is credited against him or her.
  • An E-Ticket is given by the Bank after the payment has been made.
