FIRS SERVICOM Work Ethics
·        A tax official shall
·        Not collude with taxpayers to defraud or reduce tax obligations
·        Refuse gratification in any form
·        Not tarnish the image of the service
·        Be courteous, professional and diligent
·        Educate and encourage the taxpayers to pay his/her taxes as and when due
·        Implement the tax laws fairly, uniformly and equitably
·        Attend to customers/clients politely and specify time frame for action to be taken
·        Provide timely information that will guide the customers in all tax matters
·        Not leave files unattended to for more than 48 hours
·        Not sleep in the office while on duty
·        Not engage in merchandising in the officer/premises
·        Wear his/her I.D card while in the office premises
·        Ensure that TCC etc are issued within 2 weeks of application if there is no outstanding tax liability
