The Edo State Government has sued the University of Benin (UNIBEN) for not paying the proper Pay- AS- You- Earn (PAYE) tax deducted from its employees between 2004 and 2006 in accordance with the Personal income tax Act, Cap P.8 Laws (2004).

The plaintiff is contending that the university failed to account for deduction made from emoluments of their employees during the period under review.
