Benue state House of Assembly has called for improved efforts on internally generated revenue (IGR) for the state government to be able to fund the 2010 budget meant to consolidate on the gains of previous budgets in the state.
Ruling on the debate objectives and principles of the 2010 Appropriation Bill presented to the house by Benue State Governor Gabriel Suswam yesterday, Speaker of the House of Assembly Tersser Tsumba, said member were not satisfied with the framework put in place by the Benue Board of Internal Revenue for the state.
Tsumba said the IGR of Benue for 2009 was far below the expectation of the state.
